FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is the world leading international body, responsible for checking that wood has been sourced from well managed forests which do not impact the environment.

Inline with B&Q Timber Policy and Buying Standards, The California Company has secured full FSC Chain of Custody Certification. This means that the wood your shutters has made from has been checked right from the very beginning of when the tree was planted, through the harvesting process, the milling process and shutter manufacturing process, right through to when the shutters arrive at your door.

The standards required to achieve certification are exactingly high and we are proud to have achieved this in 2008.
