Kelly Hoppen Shutters Launches Exclusively at B&Q

B&Q became the first retailer in the UK to sell a new range of plantation shutters from leading Interior Designer Kelly Hoppen.

Launched at the exclusive Soho Hotel in London, as part of B&Q's Autumn/Winter 09 Decor event, Kelly Hoppen Shutters gives UK shutter consumers something different from the norm. Personally designed by Kelly, the range uses innovative finishes, colours and textures that are classically Hoppen. Rich greys, blacks and taupes are available in either a matt finish or wonderfully rich high gloss lacquered finish. In addition, the unique 'Overwashed' stain shutters feature 5 two tone stain colours on elm hardwoods which combine fantastically blended colours that show the beauty of the wood.

Kelly Hoppen Shutters are available in 64mm, 89mm and Kelly's favourite 114mm slat size. The shutter slat, which is unique to Kelly Hoppen has a flat profile unlike the typical ellipsoid shutter shape often found on wood shutters. This gives the shutters a more architectural form.

The B&Q press only event saw Kelly Hoppens' shutter range exceptionally well received. The lacquers and overwashed shutter stains proved exceptionally popular with journalists visiting the event.
