Added: March 11, 2009
Britain's largest home improvment retailer B&Q has today relaunched their online store, www.diy.com
www.diy.com has been redesigned to make the site easier to navigate and more inspirational for B&Q customers.B&Q has been working hard to develop many of their stores to extend their range to include a wider variety of home furnishings including designer wallpapers, soft furnishings, a wider variety of upmarket lighting ranges and plantation shutters.
As part of B&Q's range expansion, plantation shutters were introduced into select B&Q stores in 2007. With initial demand for plantation shutters well received by B&Q customers, to fully extend the availablity of the plantation shutters range, shutters were made available to buy online via www.diy.com/shutters in early 2009.
The launch of B&Q's dedicated online shutter shop has been a great success. Murray Clark, Director of B&Q Shutters partner company The California Co said that the success of the launch of shutters via diy.com can only continue with the relaunch of B&Q's new site.
"Plantation shutters continue to be the window covering of choice for discerning home savy shoppers. B&Q is the leading home improvement in the UK and anyone who has been to new B&Q stores such as those in New Malden will know the significant investment B&Q is making in their stores. The relaunch of www.diy.com is an exciting new development and I know the folks at B&Q have invested a significant amount of time and energy to make the shopping experience much improved for B&Q customers.
The addition of plantation shutters to B&Q's range symbolises the positive steps that B&Q are making to offer customers the widest possible choice of quality products. The online shutter shop is integrated within www.diy.com and we look forward to being a part of B&Q's continued success"
