Which Colour is Right for You?

Of all the choices you can make, the colour you choose can create quite markedly different looks!
Choose from our range of inspiring contemporary whites and off whites if you are looking for the shutters to blend in with the overall look of the room…… Only a few years ago, choosing a neutral shade was considered a safe choice, but with the current design trend more towards soft whites and greys, going with a painted white or an off white shade is the perfect finish for your room.
Our range of quality wood stains is second to none and the spectrum of colour goes from light natural through to jet black with a host of colours in between. Wood stained shutters can look fantastic in the right setting but take time to look around your room to see if a stain might clash with your existing furniture or décor. For example, choosing plantation shutters in light oak stain along with a wood stained floor could make the room feel quite heavy.
Windows and floors often form the largest areas of a room and having wood stains on both a floor and window could be a little heavy. However, a crisp white apartment with high ceilings, some well placed stylish furniture and both a dark black walnut floor and shutters can look fantastic. As with so many design choices, you can make your shutters look as dramatic or muted as you like. Colour is one of the best ways of achieving this but before you order, ask yourself if you’ll still love the colour in 5 years time!
