We have compiled some frequently asked questions to ensure you know all there is about how we are dealing with the pandemic and what to expect.
Q: I’d like to order some shutters are you still taking orders?
Yes absolutely! Let’s find a positive to being stuck at home all day and get on with all those DIY jobs there never seems to be time for.
Q: Where do you manufacture your shutters?
We custom make all of our shutters in China, we have close working relationships with the producers and have been kept informed of all government recommendations and updates. We are pleased to say that all production lines are up and running.
Q: Can I still contact your Customer Experience team?
Of course! Our team of Shutter Experts are all still on hand, working remotely so we all stay safe. You can reach us via email

. We can advise on any questions you may have from designing your shutters, technical questions or installation tips.

Q: Are your lead times extended?
Our lead time for Standard delivery is currently 10-12 weeks. Delivery information is updated regularly on the Delivery page
of our website. We are not offering our Express service in the current climate but hope to have this available shortly.
Q: Does someone come to measure my windows?
We are purely DIY so you measure the windows and design the shutters yourself, with as much or as little help from us as you need. We do not have advisors which come to your house; which is quite handy at the moment.
Q: I have ordered some shutters, when can I expect them to arrive?
Generally speaking, all of our orders are still due to arrive with customers in line with the lead times in place when you confirm your order. You can find these times on our Delivery Information
We are expecting to experience some delays getting the orders from the port to you but are working hard to keep this process as seamless as possible. You will receive email delivery updates as soon as we receive information but you are welcome to contact us directly in the mean-time.
Q: Is it safe to receive the shutter boxes from your courier?
Our hauliers, warehouse staff and couriers are all practising safe handling and social distancing. Your order will be delivered to you and left outside of your property. The courier will not require a signature whilst these restrictions are in place, they will take your name as proof of delivery or you can leave a note on your door to authorise them leaving it.
Whilst there is a very limited risk of contamination to the cardboard boxes; for peace of mind, we would advise either leaving the boxes for 72 hours before opening or wearing gloves and a mask to open the boxes and then dispose of the cardboard safely.
Q: Can I install them myself?
The shutters have been designed to easily piece together and be installed by yourselves, a bit like flat-pack furniture.
Some of our customers choose to hire a tradesperson if they are short on time or confidence. As it is not advisable at the moment to have someone visit your house to install the shutters we would highly recommend you giving it a go yourselves, we think you’ll surprise yourself at how straight forward it is!
You’ll need an electric drill and screwdriver, a metal measuring tape and a spirit level. Our team are on the end of the phone to help answer any queries that crop up as you go. Then you can just sit back and admire your handy work!
