Grey & Contemporary

Grey is still the neutral of choice for many interiors (as announced in DFS & Dulux’s House Of Colour event) and it’s no surprise that grey shutters have been consistently popular. A bold grey shutter is a safe choice for anyone desiring that coveted ultimate blackout and modern look to their bedroom, while still allowing light to flood through when slats are open during the day. Rich, dark grey colour schemes can bring real colour versatility to a bedroom no matter how dark you go, so if you’re the type that likes to change bedding colours or accessories often, you can be assured most colours will match when you opt for grey shutters.

Pink & feminine

The USA are dubbing blush pinks to be a key interior trend for Autumn/Winter this year for the soft, feminine qualities it will bring to homes. A dusty, muted pink shade introduces an air of French romance to the bedroom, looking especially striking on our solid shutter range. Does your existing bedroom have a neutral wall colour? Installing solid shutters in a pastel shade like pink is a simple, effective way to add instant impact to your bedroom whilst staying in-keeping with your existing decor.

Dark teal & moody

Will moody interiors ever get old? We don’t think so! Going bold with a dark teal shutter and complementary colour scheme brings instant atmosphere to a bedroom. Deep, dark colours are particularly impressive in rooms with period features. Pairing the dark colour of your shutter with a light colour on your window woodwork emphasises large bay windows beautifully or if you’d prefer a more streamlined appearance, paint your woodwork an identical shade to your shutter for good flow and to give the illusion of space. Finish the look with palm print, moody wallpaper or fabrics that nod to the tropical trend for a luxury bedroom look you’ll love.

Yellow & vibrant

Wake up happy every morning with bright, sunshine yellow shutters in the bedroom. Keeping accessories pitch black and the walls neutral will allow these striking yellow shutters to sing in a bedroom, creating an instant focal point to the room - and a definite talking point for guests! Installed in dark bedrooms, a bright yellow shutter will give the illusion of sun streaming through on even the greyest of days.
